Rare Quezal Jack in the Pulpit

Very unusual Quezal Jack in the Pulpit with 16 zipper decoration around. I’ve never seen this zipper decoration before in 25 years of collecting and dealing in glass. I purchased a pair of these from a collection about 10 years ago and have another in my collection.

This is early Quezal so would have been blown by Thomas Johnson shortly after he left Tiffany Furnaces. The vase is unsigned as a significant amount of Quezal production was not signed and just had paper labels. See last 4 photos for a bottom photo showing a Quezal coil vase with similar pontil as this JIP with a label as well as 3 other unsigned examples with paper labels.

unsigned, c.1910, 6 7/8” High x 4 3/4” Diameter Face

Excellent Condition with minor bottom wear commensurate with age. No chips, cracks, fleabites, repairs, significant deposits inside or other post production defects.
